Healthcare Operations & Population Health Leader
My work centers on advancing equitable, high performing healthcare systems through research informed strategy and operational leadership. Grounded in doctoral research and decades of professional experience, I focus on translating evidence into systems level approaches that support population health, midlife wellbeing, and chronic disease prevention.
Across my career, I have been brought in to stabilize decision making in complex clinical environments by aligning operations, people, data, and patient experience so scale, speed, and performance reinforce one another rather than compete.
End-to-end operational leadership across complex care environments, focused on performance, access, and alignment.
Research-informed approaches to addressing disparities, improving outcomes, and advancing equitable care delivery across communities and health systems.
PhD-trained in Community Health Sciences, with expertise in translating research, data, and theory into practical, systems-level frameworks.
Experience supporting change management, cross-functional collaboration, and strategy execution within healthcare organizations.
Design and refinement of care delivery models that improve access, efficiency, quality, and outcomes across complex healthcare environments.

I am a healthcare operations and population health leader with over 25 years of experience across clinical operations, health system strategy, and research-informed program development. My work focuses on aligning people, processes, and evidence to support high-performing, equitable healthcare delivery across complex care environments.
I hold a PhD in Community Health Sciences and an MPH, with a body of research spanning medical mistrust, Black women’s health, and population level inequities in care delivery. Across my doctoral training and published work, I have examined how factors such as healthcare access, maternal morbidity and mortality, chronic and intersectional stress, and social determinants of health shape outcomes across the life course. This scholarship, including my dissertation research, continues to inform my approach to population health strategy, community engaged models of care, and systems level interventions designed to improve equity and performance in healthcare delivery.
Throughout my career, I have worked across multi-specialty care settings, women’s health, ambulatory services, and community-based initiatives. I bring a systems-level perspective that bridges academic rigor, real-world healthcare operations, and an understanding of how structural inequities shape both patient and provider experiences.
I am the founder of Charmar Health, a platform for research-informed thought leadership at the intersection of healthcare operations, population health, and equity. Through this work, I develop conceptual models and applied frameworks that translate research into practical, systems-level approaches to midlife health, chronic disease prevention, and population-level outcomes.
